After breakfast, we drive from the capital towards Karakol, a journey of about 6 hours along the shores of Issyk-Kul Lake. Upon arrival, we’ll visit the local bazaar and horse gear shops, where you can purchase any missing equipment such as raincoats, ponchos, or special footwear. The rest of the day is spent preparing for the upcoming adventure, followed by a group dinner.

Today we leave Karakol by car and head towards a remote valley, crossing a scenic high mountain pass at 3,820 meters. Upon arrival, we set up our base camp for the journey ahead. Here you will meet the horses, receive riding instructions, and have the chance to practice with horses.

Our first day on horseback covers nearly 20 kilometers through a stunning mountain gorge. Along the way, we will cross a river for the first time, adding to the adventure. In the evening, we set camp beneath the high pass and spend the night in tents, surrounded by untouched wilderness.

Today will be a more physically demanding day as we climb up to the mountain pass and descend on the other side, covering about 13–15 kilometers. Even if the weather turns rainy, we must cross the pass. While the ascent is not technically difficult, in some sections we will dismount and lead our horses for safety. The descent opens up to breathtaking, dramatic views of the mountains on the far side — an unforgettable highlight of the journey.

Today’s route is relatively gentle but comes with unique challenges. We will ride across one of the largest glaciers in Central Asia — its surface covered with stones and ice, making this an extraordinary experience on horseback. Along the way, we’ll also cross rivers and marshy areas before reaching a stunning valley, home to wild horses and perfect pastures. The trail is lined with unusual rock formations, adding to the dramatic scenery of the day.

Today we will climb up and cross another high pass before descending into the last inhabited gorge of our journey. Along the way, we pass a remote alpine lake, with trails that are wild, narrow, and at times challenging — requiring careful riding. This area is home to many wild animals, adding to the sense of wilderness. By evening, we arrive at a shepherd’s home, where our base camp is set. Here we can enjoy a cozy stay with a traditional sauna and a delicious homemade dinner.

Today everyone will have the chance to rest and recover after the long expedition, but we still continue on horseback. We will take a full-day ride into stunning mountain landscapes, following easier trails that lead to panoramic viewpoints high up to the mountains. It’s a lighter ride compared to the previous days, yet filled with beauty and opportunities for unforgettable photos.

Today we leave the remote wilderness behind and make our way back to civilization. After days in the wild, we return to the comfort of a hotel in Karakol. In the evening, we celebrate with a festive dinner together. A sauna will be available for those who wish to relax, unwind, and recharge after the journey.

We offer a mix of comfortable hotels, traditional yurt camps, and tents in remote areas. Hotels provide modern amenities, while yurts and tents give you an authentic nomadic experience.
Yes, this tour is suitable for beginners. We will provide calm and well-trained horses, making it easier for first-time riders. However, having some prior experience is always helpful to feel more comfortable during the ride. Our guides will also provide basic riding instructions before we start.
The menu includes a variety of local and international dishes. If you are vegan or have specific dietary preferences, we can accommodate that—just let us know in advance.
Most travelers arrive at Manas International Airport in Bishkek. We provide airport transfers as part of the tour. Most of the flight from Turkey (Turkish airlines) or Dubai (Fly Dubai)
For the main part of the tour, we will use a comfortable minibus for group travel between cities and popular locations. For remote and off-road areas, such as the Sary-Jaz valley, we switch to 4x4 vehicles like Toyota 4Runner to ensure safe and smooth travel through rugged mountain terrain.
In end of May, the weather in Kyrgyzstan is generally pleasant and stable. Daytime temperatures range between +20°C and +25°C, especially around Issyk-Kul and lower valleys. At higher altitudes like Son-Kol and Sary-Jaz, it can be cooler: around +10°C to +20°C during the day and dropping to +0°C to +5°C at night. The weather is mostly dry and sunny, but occasional rain or sudden weather changes in the mountains are possible, so it’s important to bring layers and a waterproof jacket.
To book the tour, you need to make a deposit, provide a copy of your passport, and book your flight ticket. Once we receive the deposit and your details, we will confirm your spot in the group.

If you need to cancel your booking, the following refund rules apply:
- More than 30 days before the tour – Full refund (minus transaction fees).
- 15-29 days before the tour – 50% refund.
- 7-14 days before the tour – 30% refund.
- Less than 7 days before the tour – No refund.
We keep the group size small and personal, typically between 6 to 12 people, to ensure a friendly and authentic experience.
