Nomad Games Expedition

Participants arrive in Bishkek throughout the day.
Accommodation and airport transfers are arranged individually to allow flexibility and personal preferences.

In the evening, we will meet as a group and attend the World Nomad Games Opening Ceremony together a unique cultural event showcasing nomadic traditions, performances, and ceremonies.

Opening ceremony tickets will be arranged and purchased in advance by us.

This evening marks the beginning of our journey into the world of nomadic culture and traditions and welcome dinner

Since the World Nomad Games begin the following day, we will spend this day exploring the beautiful Chon-Kemin National Park.

In the morning, we will depart from Bishkek and drive to the valley, known for its scenic landscapes, traditional villages, and peaceful mountain atmosphere.

After lunch, we will head into the mountains for a horseback riding experience, offering a first introduction to nomadic life and the surrounding nature.

In the evening, we will stay at a local guesthouse and enjoy a traditional dinner before continuing our journey the next day.

Today we head to the World Nomad Games, where we will experience traditional competitions and cultural events celebrating nomadic heritage.

Throughout the day, we will watch traditional sports competitions, explore yurt camps, and visit the nomadic village, where different cultures and traditions come together in one place.

This is a unique opportunity to experience the atmosphere of the nomadic world — from horseback games to traditional crafts and local cuisine.

Stay at guesthouse or a yurt camp

Before lunch, we will leave the World Nomad Games and begin our journey toward Karakol, continuing further into the remote Turgen Valley.

Here, we transition from the festival atmosphere to real nomadic life. This remote valley is where local families spend the summer with their livestock, following traditional seasonal migrations.

We will set up camp in the open landscape and spend the night in tents, surrounded by mountains and wide valleys. In the evening, we’ll gather around a campfire, experience the peaceful atmosphere, and observe how nomadic families live as many begin preparing to move back to their villages for the coming season.

This marks the beginning of a more remote and authentic part of the journey.

Stay at tent

Today we continue deeper into the mountains by 4x4 vehicles, heading to one of the last remote valleys where local families still live a traditional nomadic lifestyle.

We will arrive around lunchtime and spend time with a local shepherd family. After lunch, we begin a horseback journey high into the mountains, reaching panoramic viewpoints far above the valley.

We call this experience “horse climbing” as you’ll truly feel what it means to ride horses uphill through steep mountain terrain. For many, this becomes one of the most memorable and unique parts of the journey.

In the evening, we return to the valley and stay with a local shepherd family, experiencing authentic nomadic hospitality. Later, we’ll enjoy a traditional sauna and relax under the mountain sky.

After breakfast, we drive deeper into the mountains toward the remote Sary-Jaz Valley, visiting another shepherd family living in a different and more elevated landscape.

Here, the scenery changes dramatically wide green valleys, open alpine pastures, and breathtaking views at over 3,000 meters above sea level. This area offers a deeper glimpse into traditional nomadic life in one of the most remote regions of Kyrgyzstan.

We will stay with local shepherds, enjoy the peaceful surroundings, and take a short walk around the valley to explore the area.

In the evening, local family will prepare traditional homemade dishes, offering another authentic cultural experience with stunning mountain views.

After breakfast, we leave the Sary-Jaz Valley and return toward Karakol, arriving around early afternoon.

Upon arrival, we change vehicles and continue to the scenic Jeti-Oguz Valley, known for its red rock formations, alpine meadows, and peaceful mountain atmosphere.

This will be our final night together, staying in traditional yurts, adding one more authentic nomadic experience to the journey.

In the evening, we’ll gather for a farewell dinner with a fire, reflecting on the experiences shared from the World Nomad Games to remote valleys and real nomadic life.

After breakfast, we depart from Jeti-Oguz.
